The Second AEARU Workshop on Web Technology

The Association of East Asian Research Universities (AEARU)

brings together 16 universities from the following regions: Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. These universities all have significant strengths in science and technology, sharing common traits in their academic profiles, educational goals, R & D interests, and faculty compositions.

The Objective of The Second Workshop on Web Technology

The objective is to identify potential areas and means for productive collaborations in the field of Web Technology, as decided at the Third Annual General Meeting of AEARU held on October 4, 1997 at Pohang University of Science and Technology. We can expect that Web Technology will cause a great revolution in education and research. The first workshop was held at Kyoto University, Nov.24~25, 1998. We hope that we will discuss related problems or technical issues at this workshop and that we will be able to identify those projects that would best be undertaken with the combined resources of AEARU.
